And then there are clinical practices that begin with a shared calling.
Karmanya Ayurveda began with a calling.
A calling to prove that classical Ayurveda is not a cosmetic luxury, not an alternative to be tried when all else fails, and not a quick-fix massage counter.
Ayurveda is an intricate, time-tested medical science — developed over millennia, codified in classical Samhitas, and preserved with unparalleled clinical precision in the Kerala Ashtavaidya tradition.
We founded Karmanya Ayurveda to bring that uncompromised medical rigor to Pune.
Our journey began years before Karmanya had a clinic or a name.
We first met as young students during our graduation in Ayurveda.
Dr. Anandhu was born in Kerala, immersed in its rich Ayurvedic heritage, but grew up right here in Pune. He understood both worlds — the traditional healing sanctuaries of God's Own Country and the fast-paced, high-pressure urban life of Pune.
Dr. Aditya brought his own perspective from Mumbai — another city shaped by relentless ambition, long commutes, and modern urban lifestyle stress.
As we studied the classical Ayurvedic texts together, we realized that ancient Ayurvedic thinking was not merely historical — it was desperately needed in the modern world.
Modern routines have changed. Desk work has exploded. Sleep cycles are disrupted. Stress has multiplied. Yet the human body's biological need for balance and authentic healing remains unchanged.
For us, Pune was never just a pin code. For Dr. Anandhu, Pune was home.
Across Hinjawadi, Baner, Wakad, and PCMC, we saw hard-working IT professionals in their 20s and 30s living with severe cervical spasms, sciatica, and chronic fatigue. We saw active parents in their 50s suffering from debilitating knee pain, told that invasive surgery was their only option. We saw women trapped in cycles of hormonal imbalance and PCOS.
When these people sought Ayurvedic care, what they found was deeply disappointing:
Commercial day spas masquerading as "Ayurveda centres" with generic oils and untrained masseurs. Or commercial chains aggressively pushing rigid multi-week discount packages without diagnostic evaluation.
We wanted to build something different: A true medical sanctuary where consultation comes before commerce, and understanding comes before treatment.
A founding vision is only as strong as the clinical care delivered every single day. Steeped in Kerala's legendary Ashtavaidya lineage, Dr. Irshad completed his post-graduation (MD) in Ayurvedic medicine and brings 15+ years of intensive clinical expertise in non-surgical musculoskeletal care, degenerative spine disc herniations, sciatica, and classical Panchakarma. His precision in Nadi Pariksha ensures each therapy protocol is tailored directly to the patient's biological constitution.

With a decade of clinical practice, Dr. Tejasvi Mulik is our resident specialist in women's endocrine and reproductive health (PCOS/PCOD reversal, hormonal balance, fertility care), chronic Ayurvedic dermatology (psoriasis, eczema), and metabolic digestive resets. She pairs classical detoxification like Virechana with individualized dietary medicine (Ahara Vidhi).
